A baby boy, named jacob, had his pictures stolen as part of an abduction scam. The 7 month old's mother received an email from a random girl letting her know that someone was using her child's picture on Craigslist.
The mom found a Craigslist ad saying that a Canadian orphan was for sale but no picture was provided.
The mom contacted the ad and the people sent her a picture of her own baby. The mother continued to play along and discovered they took the picture from their family blog. The scammers requested $300 just to start the application process.
After that, the mom called the authorities.
