May 2009 - Recent Arizona UFO Sightings
In Arizona and New Mexico, an unidentified flying object was spotted by many different people. It was said to have looked like a huge bubble and not the traditional flying saucer.
NASA immediately declared that this was not a UFO but a 4,000 pound research balloon which is used to measure gamma ray emissions. Although many people typically don’t believe that all of these reported sightings are always weather ballons of some sort, this UFO was cleary a balloon shape.
A few months earlier, in Scottsdale, AZ, a resident reported a light hovering over the city which was unidentifiable. People blamed the light on a comet but this comet was supposed to be seen in the eastern sky while the unidentified light was seen from the western sky.
Last February, there was yet another UFO sighting. This sighting was more difficult to explain since the object was said to be a saucer shape with red glowing lights. Within a few moments, the saucer was said to have “exploded” in a large blaze of white light and sped away at an amazing speed.
Minutes later, helicopters were seen flying towards the area of where the UFO was. A witness, who was previously in the Air Force, thought the helicopters were Blackhawks. More than one witness from multiple locations around Arizona reported the same story.
These objects were definitely unidentified flying objects but were they alien? You be the judge.
