Joe Biden slips about Cheney recently at the Gridiron Club dinner. Biden revealed the area that former VP Cheney and his aides were taken after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
According to AOL NEWS, “The Democrat said that a young naval officer who was giving him a tour of the Naval Observatory in Washington, which is Biden’s new home and where Cheney lived for eight years, showed him the bunker-like room behind what Newsweek describes as being “a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock.”"
This is not the first time that Vice President Biden has slipped up and said a comment that he shouldn’t have. Biden recently had a racial slip where he said that “you cannot go to a 7-11 or dunkin donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
Many of the late night talk show hosts such as Jay Leno and David Letterman have pounced all over Biden. Since Barack Obama is a pretty smooth, well-spoken guy, it has been hard poking much fun at him. This makes Joe Biden the most obvious choice when writing funny one liners for the late night monologues.
