Healthy Summer Diet

( 1 Vote )

There are many fad diets out there but none of them will make you lose weight long term. This article will give you the perfect healthy summer diet, so you can be slim all summer.

The best way to have a healthy summer diet is by enjoing the fresh fruits that you can only find in the summer. Some popular summer fruits are raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, pears, strawberries, and melon. You can even blend some fresh fruit together to make a smoothie.

To eat healthier in summer, start a garden in your yard. Growing fresh tomatoes, green beans, carrots, and etc. can help motivate you to eat more veggies or eat more salads with dinner.

Take advantage of the nice weather and fire up the grill. Grilling food is a healthier alternative than frying it in a saucepan or deep fryer. Cook fresh, non-breaded meats on the grill every chance you get. Have a summer fish fry without the frying. Grill some of your favorite fish and enjoy a super low-fat, healthy meal. Buy low-fat beef and fat-free cheese for your summer hamburgers.

Start drinking more water in the summer. Instead of cracking open a soda pop or beer, quench your thirst with a glass of water. Drinking a lot of water is great for your skin and health.

Avoid fattening ice cream and grab a popsicle instead. Although popsicles are high in sugar, they typically have zero fat.  They also make sugar-free popsicles which are a great healthy alternative.

Get outside an exercise in the beautiful weather.

To eat healthier in summer, grow a garden of vegetables and enjoy the summer fruits.

Remind yourself of how miserable winter is, to make you appreciate summer more.
