Discount Furniture Guide

( 1 Vote )

When your budget is tight and the economy is down, you will need to find discounts on everything imaginable.

The best place to buy discount furniture is at thrift stores, such as the Goodwill and the Salvation Army. Most likely, there are many similar smaller thrift stores located in your area also. There will most likely be some very ugly furniture at these thrift stores but you will have to look for some items with potential.

To buy discount furniture, you can check at garage sales. You can get pretty good furniture for next to nothing at garage sales. Another great place to check is craigslist.org. This online classified website is a great way to sift through hundreds or even thousands of “garage sale like” items near where you live.

You can contact a liquidator of hotel furniture. A popular furniture liquidation company, called Hotel Surplus Outlet, sells used hotel furniture at discounts.

Once you find a discount piece of furniture you are interested in, try to negotiate a better deal. Stores, garage sales, and people on craigslist.org are anxious to get rid of every used item they have.

After you buy the discount furniture, you can put some work into making it nicer. You may want to sand it down and paint it. You could replace old handles with new ones. You can also buy stuff at a hardware store to make it look antique. Be creative and “flip” your cheap furniture.

To buy discount furniture, you should shop at thrift stores, garage sales, and etc.

Always negotiate for a better deal.

Check EBay for some relatively well priced furniture.

Cheap furniture may not last long but it can get you started.
