To get in shape you must motivate yourself. I motivate myself by watching a movie with a really buff character in it. After the movie, I realize how badly I want to look like that and then I’m motivated. Follow these steps to get motivated and get in shape.
Determine if you are better at eating healthy or working out. If you are better are eating healthy then you should focus less of forcing yourself to work out and focus on perfecting your already good diet. If you are pretty good about working out, focus on kicking it up a notch.
To get in shape, you need to perfect your sort of healthy meals. Start cutting out the junk foods, greasy foods, and fried foods, and you’ll start cutting inches off of your waist. Instead of 2 percent milk, drink fat free or skim milk. Buy fat free cheese. Bake your food in the oven instead of frying it. Cut out coffee, soda pop, and sugary drinks. Drink green tea, water, and milk. Add some healthy fats to your daily diet, such as an ounce of almonds and peanut butter, and a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Stick with lean meats (chicken, turkey, and lean beef), fruits, and vegetables.
To get in shape, you may need to intensify your work out. Most people will perform cardio exercise for about 20-30 minutes straight with no change in pace. This constant pace is a lot less effective than interval training. With interval training, you alter the pace of your cardio with short 1 minute sprints every 2 minutes. Add this with your 5 minute warm up and cool down and your cardio work out will only take 19-21 minutes. Do this at least 3 times a week and you’ll be getting in shape rapidly!
Add a little weight lifting to help you get in shape. Altering your diet and intensifying your cardio will cause you to drop fat fast. Weight lifting can tone up those muscles for everyone to see once the fat does come off. Use dumbbells to do arm curls, tricep extensions, in-place lunges, butterflies, and etc.
There is no magic pill or diet which will help you lose weight. Although, fish oil pills and flaxseed oil pills are very healthy supplements which may aid weight loss. Take about 2-4 fish oils and flaxseed oils a day.
