Guacamole is a tasty dip or sauce which is made primarily from avocados. This dip can be a healthier alternative to a lot of the other fattening dips out there. Follow these steps to make guacamole at home.
Gather the ingredients. You will need at least 2 avocados, cilantro, peppers (hot or mild), onions, a pinch of salt, and some lime juice.
Slice open and remove the pit of the avocados. Scoop out the insides of the avocados, chop it up a little bit, and throw it in a mixing bowl.
Slice about a handful of cilantro into a very minced up form and add it to the mixing bowl.
Chop up a hot pepper or mild pepper, depending on your preference, and add it to the mixing bowl. You can either chop the hot pepper in big pieces, so anyone who doesn’t want to eat the peppers can avoid them, or you can chop the pepper up in small pieces, making them unavoidable. This is entirely up to you.
Chop up about half of an onion and add it to your mixing bowl.
Add a dash of lime juice and a pinch of salt to the mixing bowl. If you prefer, you can add other spices or veggies, such as tomatoes or garlic.
Mix your guacamole in the bowl really well. Once it is mixed to your desired texture, you can serve it with tortilla chips, a fajita, or any other food you want, and enjoy!
Add a dash of hot sauce to spice up the guacamole.
Try adding some garlic or tomatoes to your guacamole.
