The Hannah Montana movie starts out strong this weekend with slightly over 17 million in ticket sales. This family comedy plays a little over 1 ½ hours and was released in over 3,000 theatres.
Hannah Montana knocks out Fast and Furious for the number one spot although F & F had a strong showing at slightly over 10 million in ticket sales. Trailing right between F & F is Monsters vs. Aliens with slightly over 9 million in ticket sales.
The gold mine of Hannah Montana continues with no end in sight. Although some predict she may wind up as the next Britney Spears with her already cocky attitude and general disrespect towards the people who made her who she is.
